What Clients Say

Over the years, I have collected quotes from those I’ve worked with.  Some are sprinkled here and there through the site.  Many are here, with the richness and nuance they offered back to me.

I’ve worked regularly with Betsy for a couple of years now. She came highly recommended by many people I know, and I’ve recommended her to lots of folk too.

Before working with Betsy, I woke up for years with ‘the daily dread’, fear and tension in my solar plexus. That’s gone now. I sleep a lot better – before I just accepted that I was a poor sleeper. I released a ton of grief from my body, which makes me more resilient.

Betsy is a gifted body whisperer – she notices every tiny shift in my body, even over Zoom – and helps me to speak my body’s language. I came to understand the type of nervous system I have, which made sense of a lot of my struggles, including why many other modalities simply didn’t work for me.

Somatic work was the missing piece. Now I’m moving forward in ways that work for me.

2024: I started working with Betsy to help me practice experiencing a fuller range of my emotions without collapsing underneath them. I have gotten that and so much more. Through Betsy’s eyes and reflection, I’m meeting a deeper version of myself that feels bold, strong and sensorially alive. I keep thinking how much I like this person — and by that I mean ME. Although I quite like Betsy too! I walk away from my meetings with her feeling bigger, truer, and with a toolbox to help me navigate being me in this wacky world we find ourselves in. It’s some of the best time I spend each week.

2026: I’ve been working with Betsy for the last few years after realizing that I’d spent a lot of time processing trauma and nearly zero time learning how to hold joy. Since then the biggest thing I’ve learned is trust. How to trust my own body’s messages, to trust myself in the face of intense sensation or emotion, to trust those around me and build truer lasting friendships, and to trust the waves of life that come and go. In many ways my life looks similar to how it did before Betsy, but how I experience it is completely different. I feel safer to be my fullest self with Betsy in my corner.

In the nine months that Betsy and I have been working together so far, I’ve seen several practical shifts in myself. As an example, when I have an uncomfortable situation come up with a loved one, where I’d have normally shut down in the past (and tried to avoid the discomfort moving forward), now I notice what my body is doing. I can be with the sensations and notice “Oh, my heart is racing. I’m sweating. I feel like I’m gonna cry.”, and even just the noticing is often enough to keep me from reacting in the unhelpful ways I’d have done in the past.

My relationships with other human people feel richer and more honest. I’ve been better able to weather the storms in my business (rather than burn it down and walk away). I’ve taken on new things that I’d have never had the confidence to do in the past. And while this isn’t the only self-development work I’ve been doing in that same time frame, I can say clearly and truly that this work is what’s allowed me to stay in the game the way that I have. This work, for me, is the foundation upon which everything else sits. Without this, I wasn’t moving forward. To say that I’m grateful to Betsy and our work together would be a gross understatement. Her support has literally changed the entire game for me.

I’d come to understand that I needed a trauma informed therapist to help me navigate the extreme challenges of the last few years, but I also realised that I didn’t want just talk based therapy.

Betsy provided me with a new structure to do my work. Our sessions are a place of complete trust and safety; at last I had somewhere I could take my immense pain and disappointment about my family.

With the way we work, we go deep but I don’t get drowned or drained. I mostly come out of sessions able to happily continue with my day and already looking forward to the next one. And when I get triggered or anxious as I try to make sense of all that has that happened, I now can remind myself I will take that to the next session and immediately feel relieved.

I am building a more whole and joyous life to step into.

Betsy is VERY skilled at what she does. It often feels that something like alchemy is happening in our sessions, because I end them feeling really calm and good, and then later I’ll notice BIG changes have happened in my life, like suddenly having the courage to make a decision I know will be unpopular but one that makes all the difference.

Working with Betsy for the last 9 months, I have learned a lot about working within my capacity with love and compassion and feeling my experiences with love and compassion.

I’ve done this through Betsy’s loving approach to holding a beautiful space for this to manifest.

This opens me up to a range of feelings that I haven’t been able to hold before. And it keeps growing!

If you are thinking of working with Betsy I can highly recommend it, the changes I have made are real and I’m so grateful to her for the work that she does.

Deciding to work with Betsy twice a week was such a great decision. I felt *so* supported, seen, and held. Betsy helped me to learn how to actually live within my capacity and, as a result of no longer continuously pushing myself past my body’s limits, I was able to actually live in my body more.

It’s hard to put into words, but it was like feeling more anchored instead of feeling so floaty, and like I was actually living on this earthly plane, in my body, rather than slightly outside of myself or only on a spiritual plane.

Another thing that was delightful is that I was able to work through some really heavy and severe trauma… without having to dive into it over and over again. Betsy helped me to be able to release a lot of baggage and pain that I was carrying and the work we did in sessions rippled out so that even when we didn’t get to a few of the traumas… I still felt different about them in the end… less attached, less ashamed, and they felt more solidly in the past than ever before (and still do). I can’t recommend Betsy enough.

The twice a week sessions are certainly an investment financially, emotionally, and time/energy wise, and sometimes it felt like a wild ride, but Betsy’s kind and gentle approach was always there to support me, guide me, and walk with me. And it really all paid off. It was very much worth it.

Before working with Betsy, I described myself as someone who lived in my head; I rejected my body as part of my self-concept, and I struggled immensely to even put language to how I felt. Our work together is helping me face the challenge—and invitation—to live into and out of the fullness of my embodied being.

Betsy is gifted as a guide, teacher, coach, and partner on this journey. Every week I am in awe of how much she is able to observe over a screen. She gives me her undivided attention and is attuned to the most minuscule motions of my body. She takes in things that I’d never previously noticed and then helps bring them into my awareness. Betsy has helped me better understand my patterns—when and why I dissociate or freeze, what my coping mechanisms are. But her goal is not to change me; rather, she helps me accept and build curiosity around who and how I am. Through our work together, I’ve come a long way in terms of my somatic awareness, what I am able to feel consciously, and my capacity to set and maintain boundaries.

I love working with Betsy because she is extremely patient and nonjudgmental. She tailors each session to exactly what I need at that moment and never puts pressure on me to go at a pace that isn’t right for my system. Betsy is acutely sensitive to what I can handle, gently asking questions and encouraging me to go deeper into my sensations while always ready to pull back or seamlessly change the subject so I feel safe. While she makes it look effortless, I know she has to juggle so much internally such that I can make progress without getting over-activated. I’m so grateful for how she navigates each session around achieving that balance.

While Somatic Experiencing can be difficult, especially for people who are not used to being present in and with their bodies, Betsy will hold space for you to feel seen, held, and safe exactly as you are. She has a generous heart and an unshakeable sense of integrity, and both shine through in her every action and word.

Thank you, Betsy, for your warmth, sincerity, and care! I look forward to continuing on this path with you!

I’m so grateful (and relieved) to have been introduced to Betsy!

Her work is filling a need I did not even realize I had.

She is so easy to work with—Betsy is kind, understanding and supportive. She intuitively picks up on subtle cues from my face/body reactions and is a master of a dance between emotions and the physical that most of us would miss.

Betsy is a perfect fit for me; it’s easy to find out if she’s a fit for you too.

I got lasting benefit from my sessions with Betsy Kudlinski. Her gentle, wise, and intuitive presence guided me in accessing feelings and gaining understanding that shifted some things inside. Betsy is that rare practitioner who I felt to be 1,000% with me and for me at all times. I recommend her wholeheartedly.

I just wanted to thank you for your work with me so far. I’ve worked with three other SE practitioners over the past 7 years and you are, by far, the most skilled and attentive one I’ve had. (And I have no complaints about the others, I just had to move on from them for practical reasons mostly).

You make me feel safe, seen, and heard. And I can sense the depth of your knowledge and connection to the work.

Looking forward to seeing where this leads.
